Finally, something to look forward to!!!!! Yes, September is wine month in California and it’s the perfect time to acknowledge the all that our vintners and growers do and contribute to this great state and our lives in general. This time of year is normally FILLED to the rim with wine events from Meet Your Maker to grape stomps to sunset dinners among the vines. This year is different to say the least but there is still a reason to celebrate the bounty of the harvest and there are still events being hosted across all of our different wine regions. Here is what is happening here at the Good Life:

Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance Wine Club Passport Event

September 1—15, 2020

The Good Life is representing winemaker Karen Steinwachs and her label, Seagrape Cellars. Passport holders may taste the Seagrape club selections here as well as purchase additional Seagrape wines that are NOT included in the Club purchase. Those who purchase the club selections through the Seagrape online will also have the choice to pick up their selections here at The Good Life. All Seagrape wines will be offered at discounted winery pricing.

Make plans to visit and take advantage of the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance Wine Club Passport event which entitles you to purchase participating member’s wine clubs at their discounted price. Order online from September 1st through the 15th from as many participating wineries as you would like and get a taste of membership! There is no commitment to join the club when you order. Or, if you are in the neighborhood, make an appointment to pick up your wine clubs in person and do a tasting or sip a glass of wine. How it will work: · Passports are available for $30.00. · Online orders must be placed between September 1st – 15th directly to the winery. · Order from as many participating wineries as you would like and receive the Wine Club discount.

“Meet Your Maker” with Kimsey Vineyards

We will be hosting a very special “Meet Your Maker” event this month with vineyard owner Bill Kimsey and winemaker, Matt Dees. The two will be taking us on a tour of the beautiful, certified organic Kimsey vineyards as well as tasting us through the award winning 2016 vintage of the Estate wines.

The event will be held on Sunday, September 27th from 12pm – 1:30pm via Zoom. When you purchase 1, 2 or all three of the 2016 Kimsey wines you will receive a code giving you access to this very special event where you will get to meet Bill and Matt and have a rare opportunity to tour the Kimsey estate (which is NOT open to the public) via live Zoom. You will also have the opportunity to speak directly to Bill and Matt and ask questions of your own.
